THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS AND SNAKES TRAILER

We got out first look at the prequel to the Hunger Games series. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes teases the events of the 10th Hunger Games and the rise of Coriolanus Snow (the president in the original Hunger Games) and when he falls for a District 12 tribute, Lucy Gray Bird (played by Rachel Zegler). The film also stars Tom Blyth, Hunter Schafer, Viola Davis, Peter Dinklage, Jason Schwartzman and is set to be released in November this year.

DUNE: PART 2 FIRST LOOK

Vanity Fair got an exclusive first look at the highly anticipated sequel to Dune. In an interview, Denis Villenueve, Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, the director teased the introduction of new characters played by Florence Pugh, Austin Butler and Lea Seydoux. The film will pick up immediately where the first one left off, and teases Paul riding a space worm. Dune: Part Two is expected to be released early November this year, and stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Lea Seydoux, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Stellen Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken and Tim Blake Nelson.

THE FLASH TRAILER

A new trailer for DC’s next film, The Flash dropped this week to coincide with an early showing of the film at Cinemacon. The trailer gives a little bit more story, but doesn’t give any more away than the last trailer did. Be careful out there on the internet, there’s plenty of spoilers now out there for the film along with reviews, which are largely positive. The Flash is just over a month away with a release date of June 16th and the film stars Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ben Affleck and Keirsey Clemons.

WISH TEASER

Disney’s next animated film, Wish is all about the famous star that we’ve seen countless times in Disney films. The short teaser shows us Chris Pine’s villain demanding a Wish, as a young girl (Voiced by Ariana DeBose) and a goat manage to make their wish come true. Wish is a special film to celebrate 100 years of Disney, and will release in November.

ANIMATED TRANSFORMERS MOVIE CAST

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts did get a new trailer, but it didn’t show off much worth talking about. However, Paramount did announce at Cinemacon a new animated Transformers movie is on the way. Transformers, for many fans, hasn’t got better than the original animated film in 1986, and this animated film would do well to get fans back onboard with a franchise which might have had success at the box office, but has always left fans wanting more. The cast for this animated film includes Chris Hemsworth as Optimus Prime, Brian Tyree Henry as Megatron, Scarlett Johansson as Elita, Keegan Michael-Key as Bumblebee, Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion and Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime.

THE EQUALIZER 3 TRAILER

I never heard anything about The Equalizer 3 actually being made. I remember seeing it on films that were due to be released this year and just thought it was one of those films that was just confirmed after the sequel, and then just has never got going. But here we are, our first look at the return of Robert McCall and it looks to be the most action packed and bloodiest one yet. The trailer features some gruesome kills as we see McCall trying to retire in Southern Italy until he gets caught up with the local mafia. The Equalizer 3 is set to be released in September and stars Denzel Washington, Dakota Fanning and David Denman.

THE WITCHER S3 TEASER

The first teaser for Henry Cavill’s last outing as Geralt in The Witcher has dropped. The teaser doesn’t give anything away and just shows more of the same from Geralt, Ciri and Yennifer. Fans will be looking forward to this one with Cavill being such a fan of the series. It leaves the show in a weird place knowing that Liam Hemsworth is about to takeover the role, and unless the show happens to improve after Cavill, I think it could be the end of the show which was such a huge hit when it first dropped. The Witcher, is continuing the recent Netflix trend of dropping part 1 at the end of June then Part 2 a month later.

BLACK MIRROR S6 TRAILER

It’s been 4 years since the last season of Black Mirror and the world has changed a lot since. Charlie Brooker has obviously been hard at work, and this season will definitely have more episodes than the previous season which only had 3 episodes. The trailer gives us brief glimpses at some of the stories and the all star cast that Brooker is able to assemble. The new season will star Aaron Paul, Ben Barnes, Danny Ramirez, Himesh Patel, Josh Hartnett, Kate Mara, Michael Cera, Rob Delaney, Rory Culkin, Salma Hayek Pinault and Zazie Beetz.

A HAUNTING IN VENICE TEASER

It feels like it was only a couple of months ago that Death on the Nile was released. A little teaser for A Haunting in Venice was released this week, not a Poirot story I’m familar with at all, but I like the more horror tone this story is going for. I’m not overly convinced it will be good but it certainly has potential, we know how good Kenneth Brannagh is and can be in front of and behind the camera so you never know. This time he is joined by recent Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Kelly Reilly, Emma Laird, Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Riccardo Scarmarcio, Jude Hill and Ali Khan and is expected to be released in September.

THE LITTLE MERMAID POSTERS

The Little Mermaid is just a few weeks away now which means it’s character posters time giving us our best look yet at each character. There was another little trailer released which didn’t show off anymore but tickets can now be booked for the reimagining of this beloved Disney classic.

NEXT GOAL WINS TRAILER

Taika Waititi might have come under abit of flack after Thor: Love and Thunder hugely disappointed fans. His trademark sense of humour took over the Marvel film and didn’t really work so it’s good to see him going back to doing his own thing which will likely be better for everyone involved. Especially given his last film before was Jojo Rabbit which did very well critically and even landed him an Oscar for his screenplay. His next film Next Goal Wins tells the true story of the infamously awful America Samoa Football team. The film stars Michael Fassbender, Elisabeth Moss and Will Arnett and is expected to be released in November this year.
