MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – DEAD RECKONING PART ONE TRAILER

It’s hard not to be excited for anything Tom Cruise does but Mission Impossible has very much been what has kept his name and star going in Hollywood. The franchise had a resurgence with Ghost Protocol and has gone into better and better itself with Rogue Nation and Fallout. The first part, to what we guess is the end of Tom Cruise’s involvement in this franchise at least, is very highly anticipated bringing back Chris McQuarrie to direct both parts and promises huge set pieces to be enjoyed on the biggest screen possible! Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is just a couple of months away and will hit cinemas July 12th.

EXTRACTION 2 TRAILER

From an old action franchise to a new one, Extraction was a surprise hit for Netflix (I don’t mean surprise it was good, but surprise at just how good it was). The first one was a non-stop wild ride with Chris Hemsworth at the wheel and the trailer for the sequel promises more of the same but this time with a lot more snow! The trailer promises some fantastic action set pieces and shows off just how good action can look with editing it and adding a load of CGI. Extraction 2 releases on Netflix June 16th and stars Chris Hemsworth and Olga Kurylenko.

HAUNTED MANSION TRAILER

I’m shocked at how good this film looks. I had honestly no hope in this film after the likes of Jungle Cruise was just bang average. We all know the success Disney had from creating a film from one their rides with Pirates of the Carribbean, and they’ve always struggled to recreate that magic since and I think this is the closest we have got so far. The trailer promises some PG horror and great visuals which will at least make it slightly more interesting than the previous Haunted Mansion and hopefully more memorable. Haunted Mansion stars Lakeith Stanfield, Rosario Dawson, Jared Leto, Jamie Lee Curtis, Danny Devito, Owen Wilson, Tiffany Haddish and Winona Ryder and hits cinemas August 11th.

THE CREATOR TRAILER

Gareth Edwards has some big films under his belt but doesn’t have a directing credit since Rogue One and Godzilla, both films that were successful with fans of their respective franchise. His latest project, 7 years in the making, showcases a war between humans and AI, with some stunning cinematography and impressive visual effects. The film certainly gave me Blade Runner vibes, meaning it very quickly jumped up my anticipated list for the rest of this year. The Creator stars John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe and Allison Janney and will be released in cinemas October 6th.

FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S TEASER

Video Game adaptations are coming into their peak at the moment after the huge success of The Super Mario Bros Movie, but this one isn’t quite on the same level. Five Nights at Freddy’s quickly became a horror game classic, a simple premise that terrified players, making it perfect for a film and highly anticipated. It certainly will creep audiences out with terrifying animatronics, but let’s be honest we are all here for Matthew Lillard. Five Nights at Freddy’s also stars Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Lail and will be our Halloween viewing this year when it releases at the end of October.

KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON TEASER

Martin Scorsese makes pretty good films, he certainly makes long ones with this one coming in at a hefty 3 hours 28 minutes (a whole minute shorter than his previous film, The Irishman). A fantastic cast is assembled and I’m sure awards will be in the wings (at the very least some big nominations) for this gripping thriller about members of the Osage Tribe who are murdered which causes an FBI investigation. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser and John Lithgow and will get a limited release in cinemas in October before it’s put on Apple TV+.
