SNYDERCUT COMING TO CINEMAS
Fans of the Snyderverse are some of the most vocal fans around. Some may are still begging for Zach Snyder to return to the DC Universe, and can always be found in the comments of anything DC related, particularly recently with the Superman set photos. Snyder fans haven’t been swayed by the leaked photos of James Gunn’s reboot of the universe, now perhaps as a gesture to get those fans back onboard, Gunn has seemingly allowed Snyder to release his cut of Justice League to cinemas. Snyder posted on Vero “Want to see ZSJL on the big screen… Stay tuned for a date“. This could just be a one off event and I can very much see that happening, one night only type rather than a wide rerelease of the film that just previously went straight to Max.

GLADIATOR 2 FIRST LOOK
Whenever I see that Vanity Fair have a first look at a new film or series, I get excited. Gladiator 2 is one of the most highly anticipated films for the remainder of 2024, but we have seen nothing of the film so far until this week. Vanity Fair have a whole load of first look images of Gladiator 2 mostly showing off a first look at a lot of the main characters. We know Paul Mescal is leading the film, with Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, Connie Nielsen, Fred Hechinger and more cast as well.

INSIDE OUT 2 CROSSES $1 BILLION
The box office has had a bit of a slow year. A lot has been made out of the bigger films which have flopped at the box office and struggled to fine their audience, regardless of the quality. Only 6 films so far has this year have crossed $300 million worldwide compared to the 17 that did last year. Inside Out 2 has had an incredible run at the box office showing there is still an audience for Pixar films which have struggled in recent years, and showing that there is still life in cinema yet, becoming the first film in 2024 to cross $1 Billion worldwide, with Dune: Part Two being the highest grossing film to this point with just over $700 million. The sequel to the much loved animated film has grossed $200 million more than the first film did in it’s full run, however is likely to slow down this week with Despicable Me 4 being released in some terrotories.

MORE SUPERMAN SET PHOTOS
Superman is well underway of production, and just as last week where we got our first look at Mr Terrific and a lot of the other characters, this week continues that trend with a first look at a couple of other heroes, this time being Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner’s Green Lantern and Isabela Merced as Hawgirl. Their costumes are being critised for being muted compared to Superman’s, however a closer inspection sees both costumes featuring the logo of Maxwell Lord. So we can now assume that Lord is at least funding heroes in the universe at this time, making them wear the costumes he wants, and I can imagine as this universe goes on they will return to their comic accurate costumes.
