Kingsman: The Secret Service Review

Kick Ass + Agent Cody Banks = Kingsman

Wow! January isn’t known for having good films, it is known as the graveyard but not this year. This film alone changes that! This film was incredible it blew my mind (pun not intended).

Kingsman tells the story of Eggsy (Taron Egerton) who is an average teenager in England whose Dad died while working for Kingsman. He gets arrested then Harry Hart (Colin Firth) gets him out. After a member of Kingsman gets brutally murdered they need a new member so Harry Hart submits Eggsy to train against these other posh teenagers for the vacant place. While this is going on, Harry Hart is looking into a mysterious, lispy, business owner called Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) who wants to save the world from global warming.

This movie was a breath of fresh air that will revitalise the spy genre! It is based on the comic book series by Mark Millar (who did the Kick Ass comics and you can tell. The violence is perfect and just adds to the film. The action and intensity is perfect. The film was hilarious! The performances by everyone are very good. If I had one complaint, I personally would have liked someone other than Samuel L. Jackson playing Valentine partly cos you just see him as Samuel L. Jackson and I don’t know what was going on between him and his hot assistant (Sofia Boutella) cos that was creepy! But Taron Egerton feels like he has been around for a long time but his performance was incredible. He has a big, big future!

This film was so hilarious and perfect and was the best film I have seen since Guardians of the Galaxy! I really, really hope that this film gets a sequel! I know it is based of comics, which I have not read, but I assume there are more stories for Kingsman! Matthew Vaughn thank you for making an incredible movie which will definitely be in my top 10 of the 2015!

This film was so refreshing and new and perfect! I have to rate it 9/10!

    1. I agree with about Vaughan, he is my favourite director, I love his style and every film he has done is amazing. But it got a 9 cos the acting was great, score was great, visually amazing, script was really good so I felt 9 was fair in my opinion
