I AM GROOT

Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, the voice of Vin Diesel, the voice of Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C Reilly, Glenn Close and Benecio Del Toro.

After discovering an orb, Star Lord/Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) is being chased down by Ronan the Accuser. Ronan sends Gamora after Quill and along the way they find Groot (Vin Diesel) and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) who after the sum of money on Quill’s head. When they are all put in prison, they must work together to escape and sell the orb. But Ronan is still after them, when Ronan manages to get the orb, the new team must stop Ronan from destroying the galaxy, along with fellow prison escapee Drax (Dave Bautista), they must become Guardians of the Galaxy.

I didn’t know much about Guardians before seeing it. I had never heard of them until I saw the trailer, which sold me instantly, but I did not expect it to be anywhere near as amazing as it was. Guardians of the Galaxy instantly became my favourite Marvel movie ever! James Gunn really got the best team together for this film. Chris Pratt became an instant hollywood star because of this film and rightly so, now who doesn’t know who Chris Pratt is! Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista have pretty good performances. Nothing expectional but the focus wasn’t on them. The real stars of the film are Groot and Rocket. Groot is literally a walking tree that can only say 3 words (I AM GROOT), yet somehow he becomes an instant star out of this film and I can not wait to see him again! Rocket was my favourite character out of the film, he was so funny and you can’t even notice that it is Bradley Cooper voicing him! Groot and Rocket could easily have their own film! Ronan was a pretty standard, Marvel villian but I liked him more than previous villians. The other big part of this film was the music. The soundtrack to this film is one of the best in movie history! The songs are not too well known and as someone who was born in 90’s I definetly hadn’t heard most of the songs before and they are perfection! This movie is hilarious, one of the best comedies of the year thanks to Rocket. A little bit emotional at the end but I won’t spoil that just in case.

Overall, Guardians of the Galaxy is a perfect movie, 10/10!!!! WATCH IT NOW!
